You can find the most beautiful beaches with warm, pleasant waters, for the most part, suitable for swimming in Salvador and in the North Coast. Salvador

Boa Viagem Beach

Located in the Lower Town, the Boa Viagem Beach is located about 12km south of downtown. From Boa Viagem we can enjoy a beautiful view of Salvador. Previously, the beach was used for unloading of goods from the sea.

Itapuã Beach

One of the most famous beaches of Bahia. Immortalized in the songs of singer Dorival Caymmi, it has clear sands surrounded by coconut trees. Itapuã, its typical jangadas, fishing boats and fishermen make it the most famous beach in Salvador.

Jaguaribe Beach

Located north of town, 18km away from downtown, between the beaches of Piata and Patamares. Jaguaribe is one of the most visited beaches by tourists, especially during high season. It is also very busy with residents and surfers.

Litoral Norte

Abrantes

Beach for surfing, big waves and no rocks. Due to the lack of barriers, there are strong waves, very popular for surfing, kite surfing and other sports of this type. Despite of not having sidewalks and being a bit away from the urban center, it is heavily used for long walks.
